Domaine Bailly-Reverdy, Sauvignon Blanc, Pouilly-Fumé, Loire Valley, France 2022

Domaine Bailly-Reverdy produces classic, letter-perfect Sancerre. The domaine was created in 1988 but the vineyards have been in the family since the turn of the century. The current generation, led by Franck Bailly, and his nephew Aurelien, has continued the family’s tradition and improved upon it with remarkable consistency and quality.

Bailly-Reverdy's Pouilly-Fumé delivers in a similar fashion to their Sancerre with precise Sauvignon Blanc character, mouth-watering acidity and a mineral edge to the finish. Bright in texture with classic aromatics of citrus blossoms and cut grass.

This Pouilly-Fumé is from a hectare of vines that they started vinifying in 2019. While not technically organic, Bailly-Reverdy does not use herbicides; they also plant grass and herbs between their vine rows, and practice sustainable farming practices.
