Famille Perrin, Grenache/Syrah "L'Andéol" Rasteau, Rhône Valley, France 2019

Famille Perrin, Grenache/Syrah "L'Andéol" Rasteau, Rhône Valley, France 2019

80% Grenache, 20% Syrah

Rasteau L'Andéol is strictly from south-facing vineyards protected from the mistral wine, which allows the Grenache to reach perfect maturity. It develops aromas of fig, cherry and black chocolate. A small amount of Syrah completes the blend.

Famille Perrin has owned Château de Beaucastel since 1909. Over the past five generations, the family has acquired not only great vineyards in the very best terroirs of the Southern Rhône valley, but also a great understanding of these terroirs.

Harvest is 100% destemmed. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel (90%) and large oak vats (10%). The wine ages in foudre (90%) and older French barrels (10%).

This wine pairs well with short ribs, sausages, pasta dishes, and any cheese.
