Le Machin, Pinot Noir, Santa Barbara County, California 2022

Le Machin is a new project by Mike Roth of Lo-Fi wines. Roth continues to stay true to his roots with minimal intervention and a gentle approach to fruit and extraction. This is a pretty and fresh light-bodied red, just in time for your summer drinking.

95% destemmed and 5% whole crushed. After primary fermentation the wine is racked to neutral 228L French oak barrels, then returned to tanks for settling. It undergoes full malolactic by naturally occurring bacteria, and matures for up to 8 months in barrel. Bottled unfined and unfiltered.
